Web24 Dec 2024 · Cowboy, A couple months ago I bought a 1973 Jeep Wagoneer the original 360 V8 and TH400. I was going to install it in my '68 AMX but decided not to. I spoke with my local trans shop and they had a short tail shaft housing, drive shaft yoke, new transmission modulator, and speedometer drive gear and driven gear to use my original speedometer.

Web7 Aug 2024 · That is a decent price but its not actually a TH400. It is a TH375 which has a smaller 27 spline output shaft instead of the 32 spline on a 400. Its also a bit longer.. It pretty easy to convert to TH400 but will require an output shat & extension housing. Possibly some pistons as well.
