WebFeb 10, 2024 · The apron is not an oil-holding part of the lathe. It is a total loss system. On a Chipmaster, you remove part number 710, pour in some oil, let it run around the channel in the top of the apron and down the holes to lubricate the shafts. By the end of the day, or the next day if it is particularly cold, that oil is in the chip tray.
